Legal Aid for Washington Fund (LAW Fund) and its Campaign for Equal Justice raise charitable contributions to ensure justice is a reality -- not just for those who can afford it -- but for everyone in Washington state.
We rely upon hundreds of volunteers in communities throughout Washington to spread the word about funding needs for civil legal aid programs and to offer colleagues, friends, families, and neighbors the opportunity to make charitable contributions to civil legal aid. Volunteer opportunities can be tailored to match the capacity, interest, and style of individual volunteers. The time commitment can start from volunteering just a few hours one day a year.
Some examples of how volunteers have supported the Campaign for Equal Justice are below. Phonathons -Each year, the Campaign for Equal Justice holds phonathons across the state, usually in the spring and fall. The phonathons are typically hosted by a local law firm or legal aid program. Volunteers gather for an afternoon of calling their peers to ask for donations for the Campaign. Campaign staff provides all of the materials- call sheets, phone numbers, sample scripts, prizes, etc. The host recruits volunteers, provides refreshments, and phones if available.
